What needed solving
Connect smart nursery hardware with a unified parent-facing platform while enabling real-time telemetry, offline device control, secure provisioning and multi-child feeding routines.
How we engineered it
Built a containerized FastAPI + React IoT platform with WebSocket-based real-time communication and REST fallbacks, connecting bottle washers, UV sterilizers and formula dispensers to MySQL-backed telemetry and control services. Implemented secure QR provisioning, SHA-256 API key rotation, offline command queues, OAuth/JWT authentication and interactive monitoring dashboards.
